Cyient was awarded a strategic contract to support GreenH Bodø in developing and executing its hydrogen production and distribution facilities in Langstranda in Bodø, Norway. The initiative is a cooperative endeavor between GreenH and Luxcara.
GreenH is a Norwegian company that creates infrastructure for the generation and transport of green hydrogen using renewable energy. Luxcara is an independent asset manager based in Hamburg, Germany that focuses on promoting renewable energy projects throughout Europe.
The Bodø project advances Norway’s renewable energy aspirations by delivering green hydrogen to the maritime and heavy transport industries. The hydrogen station will deliver green hydrogen fuel to Torghatten Nord AS under a long-term deal, fueling the Vestfjorden ferries, a key initiative in Norway’s green energy transformation for the marine sector.
Civil construction began in the fall of 2024, making this partnership a significant step toward delivering an innovative and sustainable energy solution.
Cyient’s area of work includes both overall owner engineering and detailed plant engineering services. Cyient will use its significant knowledge in green and renewable energy engineering, including green hydrogen, to optimize project delivery and efficiency throughout the duration of this historic project.
