The matrix IO design allows for the flexible mapping of 98 functional signals onto 32 physical pins. Through software setup, any pin can be allocated any functional signal, including FSPI, JTAG, CAN-FD, UART, and others.

2 x CAN-FD

with ultra-stable communication performance

Because of its increased data transmission rate and bandwidth usage, CAN-FD has emerged as a crucial bus interface in domains like energy management, smart transportation, and industrial automation. Two CAN-FDs are supported by the FET3506J-C SoM.

Actual testing show that there is no frame loss when the bus occupancy rate is 90%, regardless of whether the CAN-FD is receiving or transmitting in two channels or one channel at a time.

Furthermore, there is no frame loss or error frame when the bus occupancy rate is 87% and the single-channel and two-channel channels are broadcasting and receiving simultaneously at a 1:1 ratio.

The following test data makes it clear that the FET3506J-C SoM’s CAN-FD interface performs exceptionally well in terms of communication.

Industrial-Grade Features

Reliability tests on the FET3506J-C SoM have been extensive and meticulous. According to the measured data, when operating at full load, its power consumption is a mere 0.7W.
