The new Eplan Platform 2026 is now available! With an even greater focus on customers and their needs in their various market segments, Eplan has taken advantage of this opportunity to totally revamp its whole portfolio. The considerable decrease in complexity is one of the main points. The new software portfolio clarifies the Eplan Platform’s full potential and offers a comprehensive solution in particular application domains with many improvements. Additionally, integrating the Eplan Platform into current IT environments is simple.

Simply offers more
All products in the Eplan Platform 2026 have been fundamentally reworked and functionally expanded and can be considered the new benchmark for electrical engineering. The launch is being accompanied by a complete new product portfolio. Previously optional extensions are now standard in some version of the software.
The portfolio has been tailored to the specific requirements of certain market segments:
- Eplan Preplanning meets these requirements for operators and planners.
- Control cabinet construction is planned using Eplan Pro Panel and machine builders will find all the relevant functionality for their tasks in Eplan Electric P8.
- New features include the cloud-based Eplan collaboration apps, the Eplan Data Portal, parts management eStock and eManage for data management, all of which are included in the scope of services for Eplan Electric P8, Eplan Pro Panel and Eplan Preplanning.
Previously optional extensions are now included in some configuration levels. This allows users to make their processes even more efficient and consistent. This holds true for all project phases and for different industries from concept development to detail engineering and manufacturing to commissioning and operations.
Support for operators as well
For instance, in addition to integrating preplanning data and expertly creating P&I diagrams, Eplan Preplanning now provides electrical engineering requirements in the early planning phase in the form of single-line schematics.
Thus, operators and planners in basic engineering can now utilize the software in addition to system integrators. Preconfigured materials that are especially suited to the activities in machine construction, control cabinet and switchgear system engineering, energy technology, and building automation—such as symbols, sample data, and forms—benefit users.
Flexible with or without the use of cloud services
Customers may now communicate both internally and externally using the Eplan Cloud, which includes cloud-based apps for data management, device management, and viewing Eplan projects using the Viewer, depending on the setup level. Users can use the expanded capability of the Eplan Platform 2026 as soon as they activate their licenses. They merely need to install the new program, which is free of charge.
Connections add value
Through standardized interfaces, the new Eplan Platform may easily be included into PDM and ERP systems. The production of control cabinets, as well as the wiring of machinery and plant systems, can directly utilize digital data from electrical engineering. Commercially available PLC planning and programming systems can also be directly integrated via standard formats in the field of automation technology.
Accessing relevant data faster
Access from Eplan’s device management now enables direct device data selection in the Data Portal, which is another significant new feature. It is no longer necessary for users to “jump” from the Platform to the Portal. They can obtain the necessary project data right away with only one click in Eplan Electric P8, which takes them straight to the device selection in the Portal. This also holds true for cloud-based device management. Additionally, more than 400 additional attributes for devices allow for even more accurate descriptions.

Finally, but certainly not least. All Eplan users can now access the Eplan Download Center. Users can instantly access software, tools, helpful eLearning content, and licensing information at eplan.com. Along with individual updates that enable even greater jumps for updates to older versions with just a click, customers can also find information about the version that is currently in use there.
