The TESCOM AGI BR Series Flushing Ring, a complete packaged solution for bleeding and flushing applications in petrochemical, biofuel, and petroleum refineries, is now available from Emerson.
The AGI BR Series flushing ring simplifies ordering by offering a comprehensive, modular valve assembly with a single part number. This makes it simple to reorder with customer-specific test needs.
There are three types of rings available: the classic BRS “sandwich” and BRW “wafer” styles; additionally, there is the BR7 “integrated bonnet” design, which incorporates the bleed/flushing functions directly into the flange ring.
The majority of flushing ring products are offered as individual parts that must be installed on-site.
This frequently entails welding on-site as well as non-destructive examination (NDE) specifications, including radiography, dye-penetrant testing, pressure testing, and Positive Material Identification (PMI). In contrast, the AGI flushing ring comes in a single, compact package that comprises testing, welding, painting, and valve assembly.
“Ordering and installing flushing ring products as separate components is overly burdensome and often results in additional costs and long lead times for product delivery,” said Md Wasfi, product marketing manager at Emerson. “What’s more, the entire process must be repeated when reordering. With the new TESCOM AGI flushing ring, customers can order a complete, modular valve assembly under one SKU, simplifying the process as well as reducing on-site installation costs.”
The ASME B16.34 standard states that the AGI flushing ring satisfies the pipeline and instrument class requirements.
It is perfect for installation in operations like distillation towers, hydrotreaters, coking towers, reactors, and separators that call for flushing residue in front of diaphragm seals.
Compared to typical goods, the one-piece forged design helps cut emissions and reduces leak paths. Additionally offered are ball valves that adhere to ISO 15848-1 & 2 and fugitive emissions bonnets.
