Texas Instruments (TI) India will mark 40 years since establishing its presence in Bengaluru in 1985, how will you define the journey for TI in India?

TI has been in business for 95 years and in India for 40. In 1985, TI became the first global technology company to establish an R&D presence in India.

For 40 years, TI India engineers have contributed to end-to-end product development, supporting solutions for sectors ranging from industrial and automotive to communications, personal electronics, medical, and space technology.

We see strong opportunities for growth in India, particularly in vehicle electrification, energy transition, and appliances areas where TI’s technology and innovation are helping shape the future.

Our sales and field application engineering teams, located across Bengaluru, Pune, Delhi, Ahmedabad, and other key cities, work closely with customers to understand their unique challenges.

By leveraging TI’s global manufacturing and supply chain, these teams deliver tailored cost-effective and innovative solutions that meet evolving market needs.

From a sales perspective, which industries or applications are driving the strongest demand for TI’s semiconductor solutions in India right now?

At electronica India 2025 our booth reflects the markets/applications we are focused on in the region.

How does TI’s deep understanding of the Indian market give it an edge in serving local customers compared to global competitors?

By incorporating feedback from the Indian market directly into its R&D efforts, TI adapts its global expertise to suit applications such as electrified two-wheelers, solar microinverters, smart metering, and consumer appliances. This deep local insight enables the company to deliver timely, relevant, and competitively priced semiconductor products.

Can you share how TI collaborates with Indian customers—both technically and commercially—to accelerate innovation and reduce time-to-market?

TI collaborates with Indian engineers and companies by offering a diverse portfolio of analog and embedded processing products, tools and support such as reference designs to meet their challenges. Additionally, our sales and application engineering teams with help from the R&D teams support customers throughout their design process enabling them to reduce time-to- market for their end customers.

TI’s role in driving the transition to a greener future through advanced semiconductor solutions?

We take great pride in being a good corporate citizen and have a long-standing commitment to responsible, sustainable manufacturing.
