Phoenix Contact TRIO, Conductor Wiring, USB Power Supplies at element14

element14 announced that it has expanded its inventory to include new, industry-leading Phoenix Contact products, some of which include integrated circuit breakers (ICBs) in TRIO power supplies, integrated conductor wiring for rigid and flexible conductors, and USB power supplies for use with Raspberry Pi and smart home devices (STEP).Phoenix Contact ICBs in TRIO power supplies in element14 Technologies the volt post

element14, Director of Supplier Operations, James Entwistle, said, “Phoenix Contact engineers are constantly developing innovative new products. element14 customers can now benefit from these technological advancements in device and automation connection technology from the broad range we offer from Phoenix.”

The newly added range of Phoenix Contact components at element14 includes:

  • Connectors and headers with horizontal or vertical connection directions, as well as panel feedthroughs, are included in the new Connexis range of crimp-based PCB connectors for cable assemblies. The connectors from the D21, D31, and D32 portfolio are suited for a variety of signal and voltage supplies ranging from 160 V to 320 V, with pitches of 2.5 mm, 3.81 mm, and 5.08 mm, respectively.
  • Engineers may effortlessly wire PCBs with single conductors, regardless of their thickness, rigidity, or flexibility, and ferrules or not, thanks to XPC PushX PCB connections. The pretensioned contact’s advanced Push-X locking mechanism technology offers a toolless, click-and-done process that speeds up assembly times.

  • Conductor cross-sections between 0.5 and 25 mm² may be readily connected thanks to the nominal cross-sections of 2, 5, 6, 10, and 16 mm² that are available for XT & XTV PushX terminal blocks. The side connection facilitates wiring since bigger conductor cross-sections—like 16 mm² conductors—are more difficult to bend.
  • OCS Outdoor Housings are sturdy, large-volume outdoor housings with a Class IK10 impact strength that are intended to support electronics that must function in temperature ranges of -40°C to +80°C (short-term 120°C). Electronics housings from the OCS series are perfect for autonomous device systems that operate in harsh conditions.

  • Step3 Power Supplies are designed especially for use in distribution boards and flat control panels in building automation applications. Maximum power efficiency in their class is achieved by their high degree of efficiency and minimal no-load losses. These power supply may be installed in a variety of ways, such as on a flat surface or DIN rail.
  • The new TRIO POWER power supplies with integrated multi-channel device protection feature a space-saving design, a robust and reliable supply, easy handling, smart diagnostics, and the IO-Link interface. TRIO 3 Power Supplies are compact plug-and-play solutions with integrated device protection that are ideal for machine building.

James said, “Adding this range of powerful connectivity options from Phoenix Contact gives our developer customers a much greater number of options to get their ideas to market faster, meeting the needs of those actively seeking innovations.
