Edge AI Computing Startup Edgehax Raises Rs. 1.39 Crores

THE VOLT VOTES

Inflection Point Ventures led a seed round that raised Rs. 1.39 crore for Edgehax, an Edge AI hardware platform. The funds will be utilized to expand into foreign markets in Singapore, the US, and Europe, increase manufacturing, and speed up product development.Edgehax Rs. 1.39 crore Seed Round Inflection Point Ventures

More than 150 startups, OEMs, and major corporations now use Edgehax to quickly prototype, develop, and scale hardware-first solutions on a single integrated board that combines computing, connectivity, and storage.

Recently, Edgehax won the NXP Silicon Seeds Startup Program 2025 to develop a unique, low-cost Edge AI compute module for consumer and automotive IoT applications worldwide, based on NXP processors. By December of current year, the product will be launched in Singapore alongside NXP.

Additionally, supported by Software Technology Parks of India (STPI), the company has won the MeitY Bhashini Startup Velocity 1.0 program award to develop hardware that would allow the Digital India Bhashini Voice AI platform to be widely used.

Using Edgehax development kits, Edgehax has made it possible for more than 100,000 students and faculty to participate in development programs at more than 30 universities and IITs.

Through its developer community at India’s leading research universities, it also offers fabless OEMs a hardware distribution platform to mass market their goods and promote quick adoption. The development of Edgehax’s products has been heavily influenced by the community.

Its kits’ developers, students, and researchers are not only early adopters but also important awareness-raisers, which has largely contributed to the brand’s growth through word-of-mouth. A hardware ecosystem is now being created by this bottom-up strategy, enabling new products to be tested and scaled more quickly.

Regarding the product, Edgehax is renowned for having successfully designed and prototyped all of its boards in India, a move that strengthens the nation’s case for electronic independence.

Over 5,000 edge gateway boards are already in production, and by December 2025, roughly 10,000 computing modules intended for household appliances should be available.

Prabhu Stavarmath, CEO and Co-founder of Edgehax added, “At Edgehax, our goal is to become a global pioneer in Edge AI Gateways and Single Board Computers by delivering fully integrated hardware platforms with open-source firmware and scalable cloud software – enabling rapid product development for startups, enterprises, and OEMs worldwide. By 2029, Edgehax aims to empower over 100 million developers using its boards and tools across APAC, the US, and Europe.”

“The bigger goal is straightforward: become the go-to design and manufacturing partner for enterprises and OEMs that need hardware which is ready to use and easy to customize. Step by step, through consistent product development and local manufacturing, Edgehax is working to showcase its Make in India capabilities to a global stakeholders ecosystem.” Edgehax is India’s answer to Raspberry Pi — a globally competitive, homegrown edge AI computing platform for developers, tinkerers, hobbyist and student community globally,” said Prabhu.

Vikram Ramasubramanian, Partner, Inflection Point Ventures says “Despite India being one of the largest markets for tech and AI, it lacks a domestic hardware prototyping platform. Startups, OEMs, and enterprises have to rely on foreign-made boards and compute modules. Our investment in Edgehax comes at a pivotal moment in time where the government also underlines India’s need for domestically designed and manufactured flexible hardware that is accessible, reliable and affordable. Edgehax is at the forefront of this, with not only product development but also community-led ecosystem that helps scale quickly and reliably.’’

In addition to helping scale IoT and cloud solutions for clients around the world, Prabhu Stavarmath, co-founder and CEO of Edgehax, has over 15 years of experience in IoT hardware, product development, and enterprise sales. He has built two startups that served over 100,000 customers and made over half a million dollars in revenue.

The COO and co-founder, Savitri Patil, has vast expertise in logistics, supply chain management, operations, and team processes. Having worked in manufacturing and IoT prototyping roles and having an electronics background, she currently spearheads Edgehax’s objective to expedite hardware development for Indian inventors.
