For the second year in a row, DigiKey is sponsoring Shaastra 2026, the IIT Madras Technical Festival. In addition to leading an industry insights session at IIT Madras on January 4, 2026, a DigiKey representative will attend Shaastra in Chennai on January 3 and 4, 2026.

DigiKey will sponsor the Eleckart event as part of Shaastra 2026, which is intended to test students’ understanding of digital electronics and their ability to solve problems with an limited number of resources.
The Eleckart competition consists of two rounds. In the first round of the competition, participants will demonstrate their ability to design electronic circuit diagrams using DigiKey’s Scheme-it platform.
The final round will focus on hands-on circuit building using actual components. Participants will manage points based on the components they select and will create their bill of materials (BOM) using DigiKey’s myLists tool.
Representatives from DigiKey will be on campus during the event, showcasing product demonstrations featuring Arduino and Labsland.
To learn more about the company’s wide range of electronic components and its technical resources, such as online conversion calculators, PCB design tools, and other DigiKey design and development tools, students are urged to stop by the DigiKey booth.
