Delta Secures First ISO 59004 Circular Economy Certification

Delta declared that it has obtained the first ISO 59004 Circular Economy Certification in the global ICT industry. Delta demonstrated a well-engineered, enterprise-wide circular economy management system that included important activities like circular procurement, design for circularity, process optimization, resource recovery and recycling, and waste management, earning an outstanding score of five out of five in the comprehensive audit.

Delta Earns First ISO 59004 Circular Economy Nod

In order to implement economy principle, circular procurement and manufacturing, circular services, and residual product value development, Delta introduced its “Delta Group Product Carbon Footprint Strategies” in 2022.

In addition to lifecycle evaluation, Delta incorporates circular criteria directly into product design, utilizing recyclable or recycled materials in lamps, fans, and package recycling initiatives.

Additionally, Delta has established long-term goals, such as obtaining third-party certified recycled or recovered materials from thirty major suppliers by 2030, reaching 100% worldwide waste diversion by 2050, and attaining a 100% waste diversion rate across all production locations by 2025.

Additionally, Delta has advanced in the UL 2799 Zero Waste to Landfill validation, obtaining certification at 18 production sites, including six Platinum-level sites—the highest category as of the end of 2024.

Additionally, in 2024, the company’s worldwide operations produced 232,485 metric tons of garbage throughout its value chain, of which 231,509 metric tons were successfully diverted, yielding a diversion rate of 99.6%. Revenue from waste recovery and sales came to USD 27.14 million.

Delta Earns First ISO 59004 Circular Economy NodIn order to consistently improve its circular economy performance and accelerate its 2050 net-zero objective, Delta will also create established Green Product Standards and encourage circular projects through its internal carbon price mechanism.

The ISO 59004 certification, which was created in 2024 in response to the growing demand for circular economy frameworks worldwide, requires businesses to set up a thorough system that methodically permits resource recyclability, value retention, and value development.

In order to determine whether an organization’s circular economy architecture embodies the six fundamental principles of systems thinking, ecosystem resilience, resource traceability, value creation, value sharing, and resource stewardship, the certification audit assesses businesses in three areas: social, economic, and environmental.

Additionally, Delta received the “Annual Innovation Award” and the “Sustainable Governance Award” for the third year in a row at the 2025 SGS Business Assurance Annual Conference.

These honors acknowledge Delta’s integrated approach to resource circularity, which is in line with global sustainability objectives such as waste reduction, carbon management, energy and water conservation, and biodiversity—achieved through cooperative collaborations throughout its supply chain.
