Cyient Semiconductors Bet USD 93Mn on Kinetic’s Power IC Expertise

For a consideration of up to USD 93 million, Cyient Semiconductors has reached a definitive agreement to acquire the majority stake of Kinetic Technologies. Cyient Semiconductors’ growth trajectory in data centers, electrification, automotive, networking, industrial automation, and the rapidly developing edge AI computing segment is accelerated by the combination, which creates a scaled platform in the $40B+ power semiconductor market.

Cyient Semiconductors’ goal of becoming India’s first ASIC-led custom power semiconductor powerhouse is revolutionized by this acquisition.

The company is well-positioned to take the lead in high-growth markets by combining the design leadership of Cyient Semiconductors with Kinetic Technologies’ proven portfolio of high-performance analog and mixed-signal ICs, including power conversion solutions, display power, protection, and interface solutions.

Cyient Semiconductors will be able to deliver unique, system-level solutions that drive superior performance, scalability, and cost efficiency for customers worldwide with Kinetic’s deep expertise in power and protection architectures, which is powered by proprietary technologies and more than 100 patents.

Kinetic Technologies’ engineering-driven culture and trusted customer relationships are intended to be used and amplified through the acquisition.

With continuous alignment to Cyient Semiconductors’ strategic direction and board oversight, the current leadership team and engineering organization will continue to function within its current structure, guaranteeing the continuity that customers, partners, and employees have come to expect for nearly 20 years.
