The HFA/HCA line of 3.5kW output AC-DC power supply units for 3-phase applications from COSEL will now use ROHM’s EcoSiC products, which include SiC MOSFETs and SiC Schottky barrier diodes (SBDs). Up to 94% efficiency is achieved by integrating ROHM SiC MOSFETs and SiC SBDs into the forced air-cooled HFA series and conduction-cooled HCA series. While the HFA series started mass production in 2024, the HCA series has been in production since 2023.
In contrast to single-phase power supplies used in homes, 3-phase power supplies are necessary for many industrial applications that handle high power, such as CO2 lasers and MRI equipment.
With ROHM’s EcoSiC technology, which thrives in high-temperature, high-frequency, and high-voltage settings, COSEL’s AC-DC power supply units are compatible with 3-phase power supplies ranging from 200VAC to 480VAC, improving power supply efficiency across a broad spectrum of industrial equipment globally.
