Aumovio will provide electronic products and innovative mobility solutions for software-defined vehicles(SDVs), as well as safe, exciting, connected, and autonomous transportation, to a global customer base.

According to a Berylls market analysis, Automotive expects the value of solutions per vehicle in these segments to increase by an average of 4.7 percent per year until 2029, outpacing the global production of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles (based on S&P Global Mobility’s market forecast).

This year’s Auto Shanghai saw the group sector display its “in the market for the market” strategy as well as a number of unique technologies for Chinese customers and the market.

Following approval at the Continental Annual Shareholders’ Meeting on April 25, 2025, Aumovio is planned to float on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange in September 2025.

Continental’s group sector Automotive has been present in China for 30 years and employs approximately 10,000 people. In the fiscal year 2024, Automotive generated approximately 14% of its global sales in China. The Chinese automobile market is the world’s largest, and according to internal forecasts and estimations of market research firms, it will grow faster than the worldwide market over the next five years.

Automotive has expanded its value chain in China in recent years to serve Chinese and foreign automakers with local manufacturing, supply networks, and, most importantly, local innovations and advances.

Automotive demonstrated the Luna and Astra driving assistance systems, among others, at Auto Shanghai.

Both were created by the joint venture Horizon Continental Technology for the Chinese market. Luna is an assistance system that provides active safety, as well as basic driving and parking features, to improve safety and comfort.

Astra is an advanced assistance system that allows for supported driving without a high-resolution map, as well as parking assistance with memory function.

Aumovio Modern Mobility Solutions For Automotive

The future Aumovio provides cutting-edge technological products and advanced mobility solutions.

In addition to its strong market position in innovative sensor solutions, displays, and technologically advanced braking and comfort systems, Aumovio has extensive experience in software, architecture platforms, and assistance systems for the rapidly growing future market of software-defined and autonomous vehicles.

The Automotive Group sector employs approximately 92,000 people and produced revenues of approximately 19.4 billion Euros in the fiscal year 2024.
