The goal of BYD EV INNOVATE-A-THON is to help students realize their electric vehicle aspirations while laying the groundwork for a better future, according to BYD. BYD is aware of how much student-led innovation has the power to influence how sustainable transportation is developed in the future.

Through encouraging young people to think outside the box and explore new ideas, BYD hopes to develop innovative solutions that will revolutionize the EV industry and contribute to a cleaner future. A preliminary online quiz, a digital prototype round, and a physical prototype construction and sales presentation round will comprise the three rounds of this program, which is available to engineering students from selected universities across India, as mentioned in its official release.

The first-place team will get to meet the technology and sustainability specialists at BYD headquarters in Shenzhen for a week. The top three winning teams will also get interesting gifts. In addition to trophies, the teams who rank third and second will also get cash rewards.

Rajeev Chauhan, Head of Electric Passenger Vehicles (EPV) Business at BYD India, stated, “We are thrilled to launch the BYD EV Innovate-A-Thon in India, a country brimming with young innovators who are creating solutions for a better future.
