As Head of Vision Technology Solutions (VTS), ZEISS India, Baskar Kesavalu has been appointed by ZEISS. In India, he will be in charge of VTS Research & Development, Product Management, and Quality Assurance & Regulatory Affairs.
He joins at a time when ZEISS is expanding its business through strategic alliances, investments, and launches, thereby fortifying its ties in India.
Baskar has worked in the consumer electronics, healthcare, and defense sectors for more than 30 years.
Before joining ZEISS India, he worked at GE HealthCare, where he was responsible for creating mission-critical patient monitoring systems and cloud-native medical solutions for hospitals throughout the United States and Europe. He has also been associated with brands like Cisco Systems and ST Microelectronics.Â
Baskar Kesavalu Domain Expertise
With his proficiency in product development, agile transformation, and technology leadership, Baskar has built and managed teams in Bangalore and Milwaukee, USA, among other places. His expertise in DevOps, Continuous Integration & Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), and the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) guarantees effective and high-quality product development.
Educational Background
Baskar has an Executive General Management Program certificate from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Bengaluru, and a Master of Science in Software Engineering from the National University of California. He is renowned for creating high-performing teams and cultivating an environment of excellence in technology and product development, with a particular emphasis on creativity and teamwork.
