The Indian Army is set to get a substantial quantity of Man Portable Counter Drone Systems (MPCDS) from AXISCADES Technologies.
Since these technologies are the first of their type to be incorporated into the Indian Defense Forces, this deal represents a significant turning point for AXISCADES.
AXISCADES’s Man Portable Counter Drone System (MPCDS) is a revolutionary development for India’s defense capabilities. The MPCDS has a distinct design, is made wholly in India, is small and lightweight, and can run on both mains and batteries.
The system can identify and jam a wide range of drones within a range of up to 5 kilometers. It covers numerous frequency spectrums, including Command & Control and Navigation.
Commenting on this pivotal development, Mr. Arun Krishnamurthi, the CEO and Managing Director of AXISCADES, said “This order marks a milestone moment in our commitment to advancing indigenous military technology. We are honoured to contribute to enhancing the defence capabilities of our armed forces with the delivery of the Man Portable Counter Drone Systems. This is the first Counter Drone System being inducted into the Indian Defence Forces in the man portable category, and the system is being deployed at multiple locations across various Commands in the Indian Army. We will continue to innovate and provide advanced security solutions to meet the evolving needs of our armed forces and make India self-reliant in the defence engineering ecosystem.”
Over the next five years, the Indian Ministry of Defence and Defence Forces want to improve its Counter UAV capabilities by means of many contracts, including emergency procurements.
The projected addressable potential in this regard is Rs. 3,000 crores inside India alone. AXISCADES is still a major participant at the vanguard of this project.
By adding integrated sensors and neutralization options to its Counter-Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (C-UAV) products, the firm is enhancing its position to take advantage of both local and international market potential.
