The AURIX TC4x microcontroller family, with their ASIL-D compatible AI-accelerator (PPU), offer: A novel platform for creating embedded AI-based use cases and automotive applications such as motor control, battery management systems, vehicle motion control, and siren detection.

Fraunhofer IKS SAFE AI Framework:
Fraunhofer IKS established the SAFE AI framework, which is based on ISO PAS 8800 and current state-of-the-art AI laws.
The SAFE AI framework evaluates the trustworthiness of AI in terms of robustness, data utility, operational design domain (ODD), and environmental conditions.
The AURIX TC4x microcontroller family’s functional safety features provide methods for application-level compliance with AI legislation and standards.
The AURIX TC4x microcontroller family enables automobile makers to assess the safety and dependability of AI solutions, as well as identify potential vulnerabilities during system development and operation.
For safety-critical real-time applications, the inclusion of AI models such as neural networks improves accuracy and provides additional safety when combined with the existing physical sensor.
