AUMOVIO India (formerly Continental Automotive India) has teamed up with the Vibhinna India Foundation to successfully finish the Namma Bengaluru’s Metro Median Maintenance Project, which aims to create long-term economic, social, and environmental value by turning the metro corridor between Hosa Road and Bommanahalli and from Infosys to Huskur Road into a vibrant, artistic, and green landmark. Senior BMRCL officials, together with representatives from AUMOVIO and the Vibhinna India Foundation, were present when the announcement was made on October 10.

Over the course of several months, diligent workers planted over 84,800 saplings, manicured 230 medians, and used exquisitely painted Warli art designs to turn 195 metro pillars into cultural symbols.
Weekly monitoring evaluates plant health and pillar upkeep, while daily maintenance actions guarantee the plants’ healthy growth, which has been bolstered by over 900 water loads to date. Commuters affectionately refer to the area as a “green corridor of art.”
The project combines ecological protection, community involvement, and aesthetic enhancement. It is carried out by the Vibhinna India Foundation, a Section 8 NGO that focuses primarily on environmental sustainability and ecological restoration initiatives.
According to experts, this project can be used as a model for environmental revitalization and urban beautification in other city zones and metro areas. To guarantee the ongoing well-being of the artwork and the greenery, the project team has suggested a methodical, long-term maintenance schedule.
Projects like these demonstrate how civic engagement and ethical corporate partnerships may work together to create greener, more sustainable urban settings in Bengaluru as it grows and becomes more urbanized.
