The establishment of the Ansys-SASTRA Center of Excellence (CoE) for Advanced Space and Defense Technologies at the SASTRA campus in Thanjavur was announced by Ansys, which is now a part of Synopsys, and SASTRA Deemed University, one of India’s top universities for engineering and scientific education.
The CoE will prioritize key focus areas, such as propulsion, materials engineering, and electromagnetics applications for defense communication and radar systems; multiphysics simulations customized for space initiatives; mission reliability and system safety modeling; and structural and thermal analyses for aerospace systems, all supported by Ansys simulation and SASTRA’s high-performance computing (HPC) capabilities.
