Anritsu Corporation has announced an important milestone in its collaboration with Skylo Technologies, marking the successful certification of Anritsu RF and protocol test cases for Skylo’s non-terrestrial network (NTN) standards.

This achievement finalizes a complete portfolio of Skylo-approved RF and protocol test solutions, enabling Narrowband IoT (NB-IoT) devices to operate seamlessly over Skylo’s satellite-powered NTN network in accordance with 3GPP Release 17 specifications.
As the demand for satellite-to-ground connectivity grows, operators and enterprises are looking to extend reliable communication across remote areas, industrial zones, and maritime environments.
Skylo NTN network offers an efficient, low-cost, and power-optimized solution for industries such as agriculture, logistics, mining, and maritime, supporting remote monitoring, asset tracking, and critical safety communications where terrestrial coverage is unavailable.
Anritsu’s ME7873NR and ME7834NR test platforms are now officially certified under the Skylo Carrier Acceptance Test program. This allows device and module manufacturers to validate NB-IoT NTN chipsets and devices in a fully automated and consistent testing environment.
These advanced platforms integrate comprehensive 4G and 5G protocol testing capabilities with NTN-specific parameters, enabling manufacturers to replicate real-world network conditions, reduce validation time, and accelerate device certification and market deployment.
With these solutions, Anritsu concedes to provide end-to-end testing and validation for both terrestrial and non-terrestrial networks in a single versatile setup. The system accurately emulates satellite channel conditions and orbital dynamics, ensuring interoperability, reliability, and optimal performance of dual-mode NTN-connected devices set for global rollout.
This collaboration underscores Anritsu’s ongoing commitment to advancing satellite-based IoT infrastructure and empowering the next generation of connected industries through innovation, speed, and quality assurance.
In partnership with Skylo, Anritsu remains committed to advancing 5G device development, enabling seamless global connectivity for data, voice, and messaging.
