StartupTN to Seedfund Transgender, Differently Abled Startups

During the assembly, Thiru. T.M. Anbarasan, the Hon’ble Minister for MSME, declared a unique seedfund under StartupTN. The seedfund will be established to assist startups in Tamil Nadu that are owned by transgender and differently abled startups. During the MSME Department’s demand for funding session on Friday, he made the news.

The purpose of the unique Seedfund is to assist transgender and differently abled people’s enterprises in order to promote inclusive growth in the field of new age entrepreneurship.

All over the state, StartupTN will find possible beneficiaries. The Hon. Minister declared that during the current fiscal year, new Regional Startup Hubs will be built in the cities of Tiruchi and Coimbatore.

In the previous two years, regional startup hubs have already been developed in Madurai, Tirunelveli, Erode, Salem, Hosur, Cuddalore, and Thanjavur. Furthermore, a pre-existing facility called the Chennai Metro Startup Hub offers all the necessary amenities.

The Hon’ble Minister also stated that in order to assist startups registered in Tamil Nadu in growing their businesses internationally, Global Startup Coordination Centers (GCC) will be built in Singapore and the United States of America in the 2024–2025 fiscal year.

The Hon’ble Minister also said that StartupTN Chennai Metro Hub will house a state-of-the-art design studio called “Thozhil Nayam” to meet the needs of startups in product design.
