A new model in the AMT incremental encoder series from CUI Devices’ Motion and Control Group supports motor shaft widths ranging from 1 mm to 6.35 mm (1/4 inch). Based on the exclusive capacitive ASIC technology developed by CUI Devices, the AMT12 series offers even more compact 22.2 x 22.2 x 12.8 mm packaging while maintaining the same high levels of accuracy, durability, and immunity to environmental particles as existing AMT encoder models.

Owing to its low current consumption of 16 mA at 5 V and 16 configurable resolutions ranging from 96 to 4096 PPR, the AMT12 incremental encoder is highly suitable for a wide range of robotics, industrial, and automation applications.

The AMT12 Incremental Encoder Series Has:

• Single-ended quadrature A/B output channels and a broad working temperature range of -40 to +125°C.

• It is available in radial or axial orientations.

• The AMT12 incremental encoder is extremely configurable due to its digital nature and compatibility with CUI Devices’ AMT Viewpoint software.

• It is simple to define the zero position and modify the resolution.
