The ModusToolbox Motor Suite, an extensive solution of tools, software, and resources for creating, setting up, and tracking motor control applications, was introduced by Infineon Technologies. The solution’s versatility to different motor types allow developers to swiftly and effectively launch high-performance motor control applications.
The suite is compatible with consumer, robotic, and industrial applications, including drones, HVAC systems, household appliances, and light electric cars.
ModusToolbox Motor Suite Features:
- Automatic detection and recognition of supported boards and kits, real-time visualization and monitoring of motor control related signals.
- It also provides optimized system performance with pre-configured algorithms and real-time monitoring of critical system parameters.
- The solution offers sophisticated algorithms that ensure control robustness across many motor types and applications.
- It currently includes out-of-the-box support for Infineon’s XMC7000 microcontrollers and will further expand its capability to include industrial MCUs, with PSOC Control integration confirmed for upcoming releases.
The suite provides real-time parameter monitoring for useful data regarding the performance, efficiency, and dependability of motors while streamlining testing and development.
This enables engineers to identify issues quickly, enhance designs, and boost overall functionality. It offers individualized status monitoring, simple and accurate board design, and comprehensive signal analysis.
Apart from its extensive feature set, the ModusToolbox Motor Suite is made to be incredibly user-friendly and adaptable. It offers an easily customizable, hardware-abstracted motor control core library and a smooth graphical user interface for motor control programming.
Infineon will showcase a demo featuring the ModusToolbox Motor Suite at electronica 2024 in Munich from 12 to 15 November (Hall C3, Booth 502).
