The 0603-inch in-vehicle PoC inductor LQW18FT_0H series has been commercialized by Murata Manufacturing. In December 2024, mass production got underway.
High-definition cameras on vehicles are growing in popularity as Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) have become more widely used in recent years.
High-speed interface PoC*2 that combine both signal and power transmissions on a single coaxial cable are being employed on vehicle camera systems with LVDS*1 transmission.
Broadband signals are handled by a circuit processor in a PoC circuit, and in order to maintain the high impedance needed to separate the signal from the power, numerous inductors are typically utilized for a broader bandwidth.
Murata responded by using its in-house ceramic materials and product architectures to create a 0603-inch product with the same high impedance as traditional 0805-inch products. This makes it possible to do exchanges to 0603-inch sizes, which reduces implementation space and, consequently, component size and weight.
In the future, Murata will work to create products that satisfy consumer demands and support the transition to automobiles with high performance and usefulness.
